When you send us a message on this site, we get your message, your name and your email address and, if you choose, your phone number and company name. With them come your choices in the form and on the page (how we should continue, how much you’d like to do yourself, and the way of working selected on the page), the page language and which part of the page you sent it from, so we can answer properly. Giving these details is voluntary, but without them we can’t reply.

When you visit the site, our server also keeps a technical log, and we count the visit in our statistics. Both are described below.

We use your details only to reply to you and to agree on possible work together. We don’t sell your details or use them for marketing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and, when you ask about working with us, preparing a contract at your request. For the server log and the spam protection, it is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.

Form messages aren’t stored on the website. Our server passes each one on to our email like this:

The server is in Hetzner Online GmbH’s data centre in Finland and is managed through Ploi (WebBuilds B.V., the Netherlands).
Our own email service, LeadMail, sends the message through ZeptoMail (Zoho Corporation B.V.) from Zoho’s data centre in the EU.
The message arrives in our Microsoft 365 mailbox (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd). Microsoft may transfer data outside the EU/EEA, for example to the United States. The transfers rely on the EU’s standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

When you open a page, our server records your IP address, the time, the page you opened, the page you came from and your browser type in a technical log. The log is kept for about two weeks, to keep the site secure and working. To stop spam, our server counts each sender’s messages with a code made from their IP address, and keeps that code for at most a day. The IP address isn’t added to the message.

This site sets no cookies. It stores nothing on your device, unless you press the button below that stops your visits being counted. It loads nothing from third parties: fonts, pictures, videos and the statistics script come from our own server, and visits are counted by our own LeadStats (below).

The demos on the page, such as the chat and the phone, run only in your browser and send nothing.

On the English home page, your browser's language setting and the page you came from are read in your browser only, to offer our Finnish or Swedish pages. Nothing is sent or stored.

We count visits with LeadStats, our own statistics service, which runs on our own server in the EU. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, unless you ask it not to count you (below). It never gets the part of the address after ? or #, ad click ids or a recording of your visit. The statistics aren’t shared with anyone or used for advertising.

For each page you open, LeadStats gets the page’s address and title, the site you came from, your screen size and your browser’s language, and from your connection your IP address and browser type. It uses the IP address to estimate your country, region and city, and doesn’t store it in the statistics. Like this site’s server, the statistics server’s web server records your IP address, the time and your browser type for each page in a technical log, which is kept for about two weeks. To tell visitors apart without cookies, it makes a one-way code from your IP address, your browser and a random value that changes every month. When the month changes, the value is deleted, so visits in different months can’t be linked. Copies of the old value in our backups go when the backups expire.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read, so we can improve the site. You can object to it in two ways, without writing to us. To stop your visits being counted on this site, press the button below: it saves one small note, for this site only, in your browser’s storage, and nothing else. The note is needed only to honour your choice, so it needs no consent. Press the button again, or clear this site’s data, to remove it. To delete the visits you have already made to this website this month, use this form. It finds them from your IP address and browser, so use the same device and network. Visits from earlier months can’t be found, by us either. A content blocker also stops your visits being counted at all. You can also write to us. We keep the statistics for 26 months; older visits are deleted.

We delete an enquiry that doesn’t lead to work 24 months after the last message. If we start working together, the details move to our customer records.

You have the right to:

know whether we process data about you, and get a copy of it
have wrong details corrected
have your data deleted
restrict how we use your data, for example while we check a correction you asked for
object to processing based on our legitimate interest
get the details you gave us in a machine-readable format, where we process them to prepare a contract
complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
