We had the opportunity to design and develop the website for Urban Matters Journal, a platform that publishes urban research articles, commentaries, interviews, photo essays, and book reviews. The journal, run by the Institute for Urban Research at Malmö University, aims to present high-quality analyses of urban issues in an engaging and accessible way, bridging the gap between academia and the wider public.

Built on WordPress, the website features a clean, modern design that highlights Urban Matters’ diverse content while ensuring a seamless user experience. One of the key functionalities we implemented is an automatic rotation feature for publications, allowing newly published articles to be featured prominently. This ensures that when multiple articles are published at once, each piece gets equal visibility over time. The result is a dynamic and easy-to-navigate platform that effectively supports the journal’s mission of fostering public discussions on pressing urban challenges.
